Bandung Spot, "Bukit Moko"

Not many people know this place . But for citizens of Bandung and surrounding areas, places with this 1500 meters high above sea level is a tourist location that is so familiar. Because of the height , this place is crowned as the highest peak of Bandung City. You can see a clear view of the city of Bandung here.

There is no public transport through here, the only way is use a private vehicle, bicycle, motorcycle, car, or if you want, you can walk to get here. This hill is located in the area around the Cicaheum Station, straight road up to the above named Jalan Padasuka, continue straight up to the top, well, that's where the Mount Moko is located.

When you trip to the Mount Moko , you will see a place called Caringin Tilu . Why it called Caringin Tilu? Because in these place there are so many large banyan trees, and in Sundanese, banyan called Caringin. Caringin Tilu can be said is a place where young people  spend a weekend. Actually, the place is just a street that on the right-left there stand so many food stalls where commonly used by young people as place to gather. Young people like to gather in this place because of its height and here Bandung looks beautiful.

Up to the top, the way you through will turn into a rocky road. After passing a rocky path, you will reach the highest peak of Bandung, Mount Moko . In this place you will find a stall named Warung Daweung. Daweung stall is the only food stall that stood here and very suitable for enjoying the beauty of the city of Bandung. Daweung in Sundanese means daydreaming . So this stall is a place to daydream. But instead of daydreaming, better you see the awesome view of Bandung from here.

Tips:

1. If using a car, use a bit high car, because of the rocky route. Do not use saloon car because you will surely hassles.

2. If you traveled by foot around 3-4 hours , if lucky you will get a lift from the citizens. However for the preparation, bring enough snacks.

3. Come before sunset, you will get two moments here, sunset, and at night you will see a lot of light sparkling from Bandung City.

4. Whatever vehicle you use, make sure in good condition.

5. Bring a jacket or thick cloth, as the temperature can reach 15 degrees Celsius.
